The following amount is to be paid at the time of registration:

Method of Payment – The store prefers that tuition be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment; charges will be applied on the fifth of each month. A $25 handling fee will apply each time a debit or credit card is rejected. A $25 fee applies for NSF checks.A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed if fees are not paid by the 15th of each month.

Fifth Lessons – Tuition ensures 48 lessons in a year (considered September through August.) When months contain five lesson days, the fifth lesson will not increase the tuition bill. These extra lessons count toward anticipated days off, such as major holidays and vacations, and emergency occurrences such as snowstorms, hurricanes, and other forces majeures.

Make-up Lessons and Cancellations - Every effort should be made to attend every scheduled lesson. Please be courteous to the teacher and fellow students by notifying the teacher at least 24 hours in advance regarding anticipated absences. Make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed, though our teachers will make every effort to accommodate a make-up lesson in the event of an emergency or planned absence.  Likewise, should the teacher be unable to attend a lesson, a make-up lesson will be provided at a mutually convenient time.

**Please do not request the teacher to alter the schedule to accommodate other extracurricular activities.

Summer Lessons – The Piano and Organ Warehouse – Yamaha Music School strongly encourages students to remain in lessons during the summer months. Whether summer is a time of rest or a time of travel and camp excitement, much musical knowledge and technique can be lost when the student does not see their teacher or practice on a regular basis. Our teachers will make every effort to offer make-up lessons due to vacations. Students who stop for the summer cannot be guaranteed their old time slot when they return.

Practicing Guidelines - Students are responsible for daily practice, in a schedule suggested by the teacher and reinforced by parents. To develop good work habits and self-discipline, a regular practicetimeshould be set aside each day. Daily practice, even in small spans, is the best way to make permanent what is learned during lessons.

Substitution – Piano & Organ Warehouse reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher in the event of long-term teacher absence.

Media Release - Photos of students and video and audio recordings of student projects and performances may be posted online and used by the instructor for promotional and workshop materials.  Identifying information will be limited to first names only.  Parents wishing to exempt their students from any published media may do so by providing a written exclusion request.

Termination of Lessons- Ideally, the decision to end lessons will be made thoughtfully, so that lessons cease with a positive sense of closure. This is best for the student, who has learned from the teacher, and formed a bond. Likewise, the teacher needs to know of the intention to stop lessons, in order to structure those final lessons in a memorable way. Therefore, The Piano and Organ Warehouse requires two weeks’ notice in writing prior to discontinuing lessons.

Note: At the discretion of the teacher, students may be asked to discontinue lessons at any time if they have unpaid tuition, an excess amount of absences/unprepared lessons, or if they show a lack of interest.

Automatic Renewal - This agreement automatically renews each year with the same terms unless amended in writing by Piano and Organ Warehouse.
